From Amanda

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
and His ears are open to their prayers.

A Time Apart
~N~ Many people want to work for God, but they
don't want to spend time with God. They are content
with busyness instead of calmness, walking quietly in
the presence of a Friend.
     God calls us to work for Him, of course;
there is no place in the Christian life for laziness or a
lack of diligence. But God also calls us to Himself. He
calls us to "Come with me by yourselves to a quite
place" (Mark 6:31, NIV).
Jesus, we read, "having risen a long while
before daylight...went out and departed to a solitary
place and there He prayed" (Mark 1:35). If the Son
of God needed time alone with His Father, how much
more do we?
It is easy to shut out the world, set aside a
few minutes by yourself, and spend time with God's
Word and prayers. But it is essential if we are to
grow in our relationship with God and be strengthened
for the battles ahead. Don't delay. Begin now to spend
time alone with God every day.

to the town gossip.

This is absolutely beautiful Amanda.  Thanks for the thought.  I needed this today as it reminds me to spend more time in daily prayer with the Lord.  And just be in the presence of the Lord all day.  Just "be" sometimes, not always "do".  Be in a relationship with Him, spend time with HIm.  Thanks for the remembrance, Honey.

Love, Krissy
